Privacy Policy

The short version

ChromaLayer doesn't run analytics, doesn't track you across the web, and doesn't sell data. The app itself runs entirely on your machine and doesn't phone home. The only place personal data touches a third party is checkout.

What we collect

• Support email. If you email support@chromalayer.app, we keep that thread to help you and to fix bugs. We don't add you to a mailing list from it.
• Payment information. Checkout is handled entirely by Dodo Payments, our payment processor. We never see or store your card number. Dodo Payments passes us your email and order ID so we can confirm your purchase and provide license access — see their own privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

What we don't collect

• No analytics or tracking scripts on this website.
• No telemetry from the ChromaLayer desktop app — it doesn't send your color settings, usage patterns, or hardware details anywhere.
• No cookies beyond a local theme preference stored in your browser (light/dark mode), which never leaves your device.

Third parties

The only third party involved in a purchase is Dodo Payments (checkout and billing). Our GitHub Releases page hosts the installer download and is subject to GitHub's own privacy policy.

Your rights

Since we hold almost nothing beyond a support email thread and an order confirmation from our payment processor, most data requests are simple: email support@chromalayer.app and we'll delete or send you what we have.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
